"The Cry For Justice"
This unique painting captures the culmination of an unjust system of cultural bias. It represents the fundamental principle of reaping what is sown and conveys an explosion of social media giving global exposure to constitutional oppression. Out of passion and determination the people rally in protest against this modern-day oppression, while Covid19 changes how we live and interact with each other.
The basic nature of God's Justice:
GALATIANS 6: 7-9
Do not be deceived; God cannot be mocked: for whatsoever man sows, that shall he also reap.
“Grace” is more than just the name of the woman who appears in this painting. The rich colors and beautiful Kente cloth adorned in precious jewels give us a sense of her prestige and wealth. While the expression on her face, illuminated by the light shining through the stained glass, shows a deep sense of humility. As the rays reflect off her skin, a single tear is revealed. This is the ultimate expression of gratitude. She understands that she has been lavished with blessings that are undeserved. Grace says, “I could never work enough to gain all that I possess, but I will give everything to express my undying debt of gratitude."
Ephesians 1:3-8
In this painting, the older sister holds the hand of her younger sister in a stroller, accompanied by their father while walking in the Sunday morning light. Although they are walking through a valley of many temptations, where dangers are present at every turn, the scene is colorful and beautiful and could draw them in. It is the Father who gives strength to his young girls and enables them to keep their focus on the greater destination, the light beyond the valley, where they will dwell in the house of the Lord.
Psalm 23:4-6
I will fear no evil.
